Today, polyester slings are used in many sectors to carry and lift loads due to their strong structure and ease of use. Polyester raw material has an important role in safe transportation. The polyester industrial lifting sling, which is one of the support products of cargo transportation, provides effective use with its resistant and robust structure.
Polyester slings produced by melting and shaping polyamide and polypropylene fibres are tightened with high pressure. Cloth sling, which has a 100% polyester structure, takes its resistance from this raw material. Polyester hoisting slings are among the most preferred products of various sectors with their many technical features.

What Features Do Polyester Slings Have?
Polyester is highly resistant to not only physical but also chemical impacts. With these features, polyester lifting slings have an important place in heavy cargo transportation. Tightly knit and tightened slings ensure that resistance is equal at every point of the sling. The polyester material, which is also resistant to moisture with its moisture-repellent feature, stretches very little under very heavy loads. Let’s examine what other properties a polyester belt has:
- The norms of polyester slings are manufactured according to TS EN 1492.
- They are made of polyester fibres with a width of 25mm and 400mm.
- Polyester slings are suitable for use and storage between -40ºC and +100ºC.
- The width of polyester slings is also very important. Thick weaving width should not be less than 25mm. It should not exceed 450 millimetres.
- Single-layer plain thick woven slings must be at least 2 mm thick, including the load-bearing member, finishing or seams of the sling. In multi-layer slings, the thick fabric used in the formation of each layer of the load-bearing element of the sling must have a thickness of at least 1.2 mm.
- The safety factor of polyester slings, which also differ in lifting capacities according to the way of use, are 7.1. Polyester slings comply with EN1492-1 and EN1492-2 standards, and this information is also indicated on their labels. The CE mark is included on the labels, too.
